Scraps  What an awesome testimony of faith, and a transformation of character.

I always knew James had good things in him. Even through rough times, and when we did not see eye to eye, I still believed in the goodness within him.

When Jimmy told me what his plans were, to make this walk, I said "Yep, that's something Jimmy would do".

I always believed that if he could focus his efforts on doing the right thing, and the good thing, he would be so much happier in life. So although this journey, to some, came as a shock, and some discouraged it, I knew that he needed to do something like this, to prove to himself, he was capable of better things, and that he could see something through to the end.

What I like to think, is that he left Aberdeen as, "Jimmy", a broken soul, with a foggy sense of direction in life, and a near 40 year old man with the attitude of a teenager at times, and is coming back as "James" a new man, with a new found direction serving the Lord, and an attitude that is positive, and full of encouragement, and the knowledge that he can be successful in life, if it is done through Jesus.

One of the last conversations I had with James, a day or two ago, I told him, "It is easier to do the right thing, than to do the wrong thing, and spend your life trying to cover it up".

I know this journey of faith, has been physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding on James, but has been a lot easier than the last few years of living in darkness, and despair, and that is why I have stood by him 100% from the beginning, and I will continue to do so.

I have done my best to chronicle the journey he has made from Texas to Aberdeen.

If you would like to view some of the photos of his journey, or listen to the wonderful song he wrote (Performed By Euzoa ( means Good Life) ), or the inspiring radio interview with Pastor Tom Dougherty (Life Point Radio - Boise Idaho), you can do so by visiting his webpage on Itsula.com

Scraps  Beautiful song brother.

Scraps  Lyrics to James Song.

I write a new song, to bless your ear. One of gladness, with trusting fear. Dead last week but now alive, to see the promises i daily strive. (chorus) i carry my cross, from day to day. Guiding my steps, i learn your way. A heavy burden please make it light. A mansion awaits me, its now in sight. No longer ashamed early i wake, to carry a cross for childrens sake. When i get tired, please carry me on, a few more miles, the weight is gone. (chorus) The very next day, all faith restored.

To all gods children, that cross adored. Thanks again, for the honor i get, to carry a cross, that paid my debt. (chorus) as i close my eyes and you carry me home. In the morning, no longer alone. Thank you father, for keeping your word. The singing of praises, is all i heard. (chorus)
